Dear Mr. President Bush:
How are you
doing? I am doing fine. My name is Matt J. Baldwin. I am 15 years
old and I am a volunteer Co-Coordinator of Farmers and Hunters Feeding
the Hungry (FHFH) in
Hartsville,
Tennessee. I am having a
fundraising banquet on September 9, 2006 and I would like to invite
you to be a guest speaker giving you an opportunity to voice your
support for our non-profit, faith based organization working to
provide food for the hungry across the nation.
As the
enclosed brochure explains, monies raised for FHFH is used to help pay
for processing expenses of donated deer and other animals. Did you
know that one out of five children in
America
goes to bed hungry? To make matters worst, recent statistics reveal
that
Americas
deer population, which numbered 20 million in 1990, has grown to over
34 million! As a result, crop damage sustained by farmers, as well as
incidents of deer-automobile collisions are on the rise. Now there is
a solution that addresses all of these problems.
Sir, I also
want you to know that our family prays for you and your family every
day and asks God to bless you and give you the wisdom and knowledge
you need to lead this nation in a manner that will honor and glorify
Him. You are doing a excellent job and we appreciate your commitment
to Christ.
You can
call us at 615-374-0237 or check our web site at
www.fhfh.org for more information.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration,
Matt J. Baldwin
Co-Coordinator
Matt Baldwin, the youngest FHFH
Chapter Coordinator at age 16, hit the ground running in early
February this year and hasn’t looked back! Matt and his dad are
planning a fundraising banquet this fall and have
already secured the donation of food
and drinks for the event from their local Outback Steakhouse.
In addition, Matt has received
commitments from over 20 manufacturers and retailers to supply
donated merchandise, hunts and cash for the event. As if
that wasn’t enough, Matt sent letters to two dignitaries—TN Governor
Phil Bredsen and President George Bush—inviting them to speak at the
banquet. Now get this…

Governor
Bredesen has already confirmed his intention to attend!
We asked
Matt what they would do if President Bush also agreed to speak and he
said, “we’re already looking at some larger facilities!” |
