Statistics about the number of meals provided can tell part of our story. But the real proof that we are making a difference can be found in the lives of the people we impact. This includes people dealing with hunger as well as with those who labor to serve them.

Originally produced several year ago, this video segment about FHFH called "Hunting the Harvest" resurfaced recently. It tells the story of one of our coordinators - Dewey Thompson - who gives his time to help the hunters of his Ohio community feed their needy neighbors. Check it out to see how our PASSION for the hunt translates into COMPASSION for the hungry!

I hope that this video can be viewed by as many people as possible, especially some of the avid deer hunters, here, in Southwest Ohio and Eastern Indiana. It really gets to me when I hear of children going hungry here in this "land of plenty"! We must fight hunger in every way possible but we also must find remedies for the root causes of it.
Part of the remedy is to step up our "boycott Chinese goods" campaign! We must manufacture what we use, here in the U.S.A.

I have a small food ministry in Winfield and just started Helping Hands at my church, Gracepoint assembly of God. If you can use my services, please feel free to ask. I am a cook by trade and have 40 years experience. I have cook and packaged for 400 people back east with Aid For Friends. Since moving to Winfield, I have volunteered with community suppers and try and hand out venison and canned items to those who need. If you would like more information please email.
Thank you for your time.
